Willowbrook Ice Arena (aka the "Willy Barn"), located minutes from Hinsdale Central High School, is home to Red Devil Nation. Our team enjoys a state of the art locker room dedicated solely to HCHC. Tryouts for the fall/winter season are held in August. After players are selected and teams are formed, the season runs from September to March. The fall/winter season includes 50+ games as well as home and away tournaments.
We foster a "one team" approach by encouraging players on our varsity and junior varsity teams to participation together in community service events, team breakfasts, the HCHS Homecoming Parade, Senior Night, and End of Season Banquets. We are a parent-run organization that relies on our board members, parents and coaches to instill a championship culture and premier ice hockey experience for all players and family members.
There are several opportunities to gain exposure to HCHC. The Club hosts several prospect skates throughout the season for 7th and 8th Grade students. 8th Grade students are also eligible to participate in our Spring Season, which runs from March to April and usually consists of 10 games. This is an excellent opportunity to get exposure to our Club, our traditions and our culture.
Despite the costs associated with ice hockey, we offer various scholarship and financial assistance programs to make participation in our program possible. Our Club firmly believes that a player's inability meet the costs associated with the program should never be a barrier to playing the greatest game on Earth.
